On October 16, 42 employee chefs battled it out at the Bates White Throwdown competition, raising $6,900 for Higher Achievement. Modeled after the Food Network show, "Throwdown with Bobby Flay,” employees challenged each other to make the best dish across multiple categories (appetizer, entrée, side dish, dessert, etc.). Each contestant prepared a dish, and the rest of the employees paid to be judges. This year’s winning dishes included Jurassic Pork, Parmesan Mousse Crostini with Basil and Balsamic Reduction, and Raspberry Dark Chocolate Cheesecake!
