Bates White is listed in the Vault Top 50 consulting firms in the United States for 2021, ranking #32 of all consulting firms. The firm was also included in the top boutique firms, at #29.
When completing the survey, Bates White employees consistently cited the firm’s culture. One stated that Bates White “not only talks the talk, but walks the walk, in terms of creating a truly different work environment." Another commented, “Bates White places a high premium on developing its people.” Another agreed: “There is a huge emphasis on mentoring and training.” Numerous employees mentioned the firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. One said, “Significant efforts are made to hire and keep people from diverse backgrounds, well beyond race or sexual orientation.” This year, the firm’s quality of life rankings for seven categories—formal and informal training, benefits, firm leadership, overall business outlook, selectivity, and health and wellness—were all in the top 25 of all firms.
