In 2022, Bates White and its employees donated a combined total of more than $230,000 to the community through the Bates White Community Connection (BWCC) program. To achieve this, employees organized 40 initiatives throughout the year to support 28 nonprofit organizations.
Even as the pandemic began to ease and workers began returning to offices, our employees continued to volunteer, organize fundraisers, and provide pro bono expertise both locally and across the globe. Glad to be back in our Washington office on a hybrid schedule, they came up with creative fundraisers to support numerous organizations. Events included Jenga trivia, rock, paper, scissors, the Great Bates White Bake Off, clothing drives, Geoguessr, and more!
Charlie Mullin, Bates White Managing Partner, said, “Back in the office a few days a week, our employees adapted without a pause, jumping back into organizing creative and fun in-person events to support those in need. But it goes beyond just the funds raised. Our employees are passionate about supporting the community, and I’m pleased to say that this total reflects the firm’s dedication to creating a workplace that encourages them to demonstrate their support for organizations whose missions resonate with them. Our employees’ generosity and inspiration are truly gratifying.”
