Bates White, LLC, marked its 10-year anniversary on July 21, 2009. Founded in 1999 byCharles Bates, Hal White, David DeRamus, Eric Gaier, and Matthew Raiff, the firm has grown to more than 175 employees with offices in Washington DC and San Diego CA.
“We are proud of our accomplishments,” said Charles Bates, Chairman. “Key to our success are the investments we have made in our employees and in our strategic partnerships with select affiliates. By advancing successive generations of firm leaders and building businesses centered on individual expertise and aspirations, we have built strong collaborative relationships with our clients, with our employees, and in the community. Our entrepreneurial philosophy of empowerment, respect, sharing risks, and valuing diversity is as strong and true today as it was 10 years ago.”
To commemorate the anniversary, the firm’s Community Connection organization sponsored “10 Days of Giving.” Employees participated in 10 community service projects that ranged from collecting school supplies and healthy foods to raising money for Smile Train, an organization that provides free cleft lip and palate surgery to children in the developing world. Through these initiatives, employees raised $3,400 and donated more than $550 worth of supplies to a variety of organizations. Projects included assembling sandwiches for DC Central Kitchen, signing cards that were sent to U.S. troops, and creating concierge kits for families that have children who are being treated at Children’s National Medical Center.
