Bates White is thrilled to celebrate its 20-year partnership with Bread for the City (BFTC). To commemorate this important milestone, the firm held a virtual wine raffle that raised $60,000 for BFTC.
The firm was founded in the summer of 1999, and shortly thereafter Bates White established a partnership with BFTC as part of the firm’s philanthropic efforts. Throughout the years, Bates White has supported BFTC with food drives, semiannual clothing drives, in-person volunteering, and fundraising for the organization’s Holiday Helpings program. After just three years, Bates White was delighted to present BFTC with a $10,000 donation, and we have continued to increase our donations ever since.
In addition, through the firm’s pro bono program, employees have donated time and expertise to assist BFTC with data analyses. Bates White recently analyzed how anonymous recipients used debit gift cards from BFTC's Holiday Helpings program during the pandemic.
“We are extremely appreciative of Bates White’s longstanding support of BFTC,” said Chief Executive Officer George Jones. “The firm’s steadfast commitment to our organization has had an immeasurable impact and benefited thousands of DC families over the past two decades. Year after year, the team has shown up eager to collaborate and effectuate change with us. We are so grateful for Bates White’s dedication to our mission and for working with us to strengthen our services to the community. We look forward to building upon the decades of partnership in the years to come!"
