Bates White has won the Children’s Law Center (CLC) 2017 Corporate Champions for Children award. The award recognizes the exceptional generosity of organizations that support CLC. This year is the first year that CLC has named a corporate champion; in 2017, Bates White employees raised approximately $25,000 for CLC.
“At Bates White, we’re proud of our ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver compelling results,” said Charlie Mullin, Bates White Managing Partner. “This also holds true for our philanthropic efforts. Our team knows that kids in DC often don’t have the quality of education, healthcare, and family lives that they deserve. We have partnered with CLC for a long time to do something about that.”
Bates White and CLC have worked together for more than a decade to help ensure that vulnerable children have legal advocates in their corner. Principal Ben Wolfert sits on CLC’s Advisory Board and coordinates the firm’s support for CLC.
“Bates White delivers positive impact for children and for CLC, and I was delighted to present the team with our Corporate Champions for Children award,” CLC Executive Director Judith Sandalow said. “We were able to advocate for more than 5,000 children and families thanks to Bates White’s generosity.”
