What we do
Education and information sharing
Networking
The Women’s Network hosts regular drop-in breakfasts and lunches, where employees chat about topics of interest and connect with colleagues across the firm. The network also created mentorship pods where small groups across levels connect and support each other.
Joint programming with clients
The network partners with clients to host programming around a variety of topics. These events provide excellent networking opportunities and a chance to learn. Topics have included body language and communications, navigating and advancing your career, and issues in the healthcare industry.
Community involvement
To help foster the next generation of women, the network hosts field trips for organizations promoting STEM careers, including DC Treks and Talented Ladies. Additionally, in conjunction with this year’s International Women’s Day, the network organized a fundraiser for Women’s Microfinance Initiative, providing microloans to women in rural areas in Africa.
Voices of the Women’s Network
We enjoy making connections and collaborating with professionals in the legal community
"One of my favorite aspects of the Women’s Network are the programs that we organize with outside attorneys and experts. They provide thought-provoking perspectives and excellent business connections. We learn so much from sharing our knowledge and experiences!"
Alicia Xu, Manager
We are eager to teach and learn from one another
"The Women’s Network provides a place to connect and share experiences so we can learn from each other. Personally, I find it extremely valuable for mentoring future leaders and fostering relationships in a meaningful way."
Rachel Grinberg, Partner
We work together with organizations to empower women
"One of my favorite events the Women’s Network hosted was for the Talented Ladies, a program for 14–18 year-olds in DC that focuses on the development of young women personally and professionally. The group spent an afternoon of their STEM week at Bates White, where they toured the office, listened to a careers panel, and had an introduction to a mock case and coding. It was eye-opening to hear about the student’s interests and aspirations. By the end of the day, many students expressed a new-found curiosity in economic consulting. The Women’s Network often discusses how important mentorship is to gain opportunities and cultivate confidence. It was amazing to see our discussions translate into a real experience for these young women."
