From day one, you’ll work on projects just like a new Consultant. You will work on both qualitative and quantitative assignments—ranging from conducting industry research and processing large data sets, to creating client presentations.
The work
The case study
One of the program highlights is participating in a case study. Based on an actual client engagement, you’ll work on a matter from start to finish—from reviewing discovery documents, analyzing your client’s data, and developing economic modeling, to writing an expert report and presenting your case to senior management.
Professional development and networking
You’ll have support every step of the way—with technical training on tools such as Stata, Excel, and R, a mentor and peer coach, lunches with senior leadership, and regular seminars on recent cases, tools, and industry trends.
Social events
Our Summer Consultants have a blast! There are dinners at DC restaurants with consultants, management, and senior leadership, social events at local entertainment venues, outings at baseball and soccer games, and a sailing trip on the Chesapeake Bay!
Opportunities to give back
Giving back to the community is a hallmark of the firm’s culture. You’ll get to participate in competitions, local volunteering, and other activities. Plus, you and your fellow Summer Consultants will select a nonprofit and design your own fundraiser for the firm.
