Meet Amelia Irvine, Manager, Life Sciences Practice
Amelia earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University with a double major in Economics and Government.
How Amelia sums up her typical workday:
“My day is typically a mix of meetings and individual work, though I spend more time in meetings now than when I was a Senior Consultant because I’m overseeing multiple people and working on analyses with them. In terms of my solo work, that will typically be a mix of reviewing others' work and providing specific feedback, as well as communicating the results of our analyses with our clients and the expert to get their feedback and strategize about next steps. I'm currently a Summer Consultant Program (SCP) sponsor and on the leadership team for our SCP, so a big part of my 'day in the life' revolves around mentoring and sharing feedback with consultants I don’t work with directly.”Hear more from Amelia about what a “normal” day-in-the-life of an economic consultant looks like, key candidate qualities Bates White looks for, and the Bates White case interview process

Meet Varun Prasad, Manager, Antitrust & Competition Practice
Varun graduated from Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
How Varun sums up his typical workday:
“On any given day, I split time between billable projects and non-billable commitments. I work in a war room with my project team, collaborating with economists and other consultants, to plan and prepare analyses. Depending on the day, I might get lunch with colleagues or sit in on a brownbag presentation to hear about updates in the practice or industry. I may also join meetings to discuss recruiting, training, or diversity initiatives.”Hear about Varun’s experience working on a price-fixing case in the transportation industry
