Consolidation in the healthcare system continues to shape the industry, offering new challenges and opportunities. Partner Cory Capps will participate in the 2025 Annual Research Meeting (ARM), speaking on the Special Session: Insurer and Provider Consolidation in U.S. Healthcare. Dr. Capps and his co-panelists plan to explore the consolidation of payers and providers (e.g., health insurers purchasing provider groups and/or health systems offering health insurance) and its implications for both patient care and health services research. Dr. Capps, specifically, will provide a regulatory perspective. Dr. Capps’s co-panelists include Cheryl Damberg of RAND Corporation and Amir Dan Rubin of Healthier Capital. Risha Gidwani of the University of Colorado School of Medicine will moderate.
The ARM brings together nearly 3,000 researchers and key stakeholders to present and discuss the most recent data and evidence on the nation’s priority health issues, debate current health policy issues, develop new skills, and collaborate with peers to improve health and the performance of the health system.
