At the 10th Annual Conference of the American Society of Health Economists, Academic Affiliate Leemore Dafny will chair the June 22 session “How PBMs, Rebates, and Coupons Affect Drug Prices.” Her paper “The Effects of Drug Coupons on Branded Pharmaceuticals,” co-authored with Edward Kong of Harvard University and Kate Ho of Princeton University, will also be presented during the session.
Academic Affiliate Martin Gaynor’s paper “The Anatomy of a Hospital System Merger: The Patient Did Not Respond Well to Treatment,” co-authored by Adam Sacarny of Columbia University, Raffaella Sadun of Harvard Business School, Chad Syverson of the University of Chicago, and Shruthi Venkatesth of Carnegie Mellon University, will be presented on June 22 in the session “Management Practices in Health Care: Implications for Cost and Quality of Care.”
On June 21, Dr. Gaynor will also be giving the Presidential Address and Awards at a plenary session.
