On June 27, Partner Kathleen Chandler will participate in the panel “This Talk Isn’t Cheap.” The program, developed by the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession, is designed to improve conversations about gender, race, and ethnicity. It explores the reasons why women of color have feelings of mistrust toward their white women colleagues, while also addressing the challenges white women experience in attempting to understand the needs of their minority women colleagues. Panelists will guide conversations to help attendees find common ground.
Ms. Chandler’s co-panelists include Alicia Burns-Wright from Meta, Gabrielle Kohlmeier from Verizon, Pavithra Kumar from Analysis Group, and Alejandra Salinas from Susman Godfrey. Michele Coleman Mayes from the New York Public Library will facilitate the discussion.
