Two partners will present at the annual E.CA Expert Forum, which offers practitioners, enforcers, and academics insights into recent developments in competition law and economics. With a German and European perspective, the forum is focused on the intersections between competition policy, the green transition, and competitiveness. Both economic research and policy will be emphasized.
Partner Rachel Grinberg will speak on the panel “Private Damages in Cartel Cases – Economics in the Courtroom.” Dr. Grinberg’s co-panelists include Kai Brauneisen of the German Federal Constitutional Court, Derek Ridyard of the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal, and Florian Smuda of Koblenz University of Applied Sciences. Anselm Mattes of E.CA Economics is scheduled to chair the session.
Partner Eric Emch will speak on a panel as part of the keynote speech “Economic Analysis in Competition Cases.” Dr. Emch’s co-panelists include Chiara Fumagalli of Bocconi University, Sandro Gleave of the Bundeskartellamt, and Hans Zenger of the European Commission. Rainer Nitsche of E.CA Economics is scheduled to chair the panel. The keynote speaker will be Emanuele Tarantinos of DG Competition, European Commission.
Drs. Grinberg and Emch will also participate in a Q&A Session, as part of their respective panels.
