Bates White’s European partner, ESMT Competition Analysis, has changed its name to E.CA Economics. Bates White and E.CA Economics maintain an exclusive partnership to provide antitrust services in the United States and the European Union.
E.CA Economics was founded at ESMT European School of Management and Technology in 2007 and focuses on the areas of merger, antitrust, state aid, and regulation. “In only a few years, ESMT Competition Analysis has developed from a small unit within the business school to a leading economic consultancy,” said Hans W. Friederiszick, Managing Director of E.CA Economics. Rainer Nitsche, also E.CA Managing Director, added, “In line with this remarkable growth, we want to make sure our own brand more clearly identifiable and simultaneously emphasize our strong partnership with ESMT. Consequently, we have changed our name to E.CA Economics.”
Bates White’s partnership with E.CA Economics offers clients an integrated approach to issues requiring experience and expertise before European enforcement agencies and courts. Both our firms are named in Global Competition Review’s “Economics 20” as leaders in competition economics.
