Glenn R. George, PhD, has rejoined Bates White as a Partner in the Energy Practice and the International Arbitration and Trade Practice. Dr. George is a seasoned leader and advisor in the global power and utilities, oil and gas, liquefied natural gas, mining, manufacturing, water, chemical/petrochemical, and related infrastructure sectors. His areas of specialization include market design, utility rate design, M&A support and asset valuation, project finance, risk assessment, energy efficiency, renewables, distributed generation, and nuclear power.
Dr. George was a Partner at Bates White from 2010 to 2012. Before rejoining Bates White, he was a managing director at NERA and a partner at KPMG. In addition, he has held senior positions at Nomura Securities International and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a former officer in the US Navy, having served at the Office of Naval Reactors early in his career.

Dr. George holds a PhD from Harvard, with a focus on energy policy and regulation, as well as an engineering degree and an MBA from Cornell. In addition, he received a diploma in nuclear engineering from the US Department of Energy’s Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory and is a registered professional engineer in the District of Columbia.
