In 2015, Bates White Economic Consulting employees and the firm donated a combined total of more than $105,000 to the community through its BW Community Connection (BWCC) program. This year, employees organized 25 initiatives that supported 21 nonprofit organizations.
Through BWCC, employees propose and implement activities ranging from mentoring middle school children through Higher Achievement and preparing meals at DC Central Kitchen to competing in contests such as the annual Pedometer Challenge and Throwdown cooking competition, and participating in community races such as Lawyers Have Heart and Angel Kisses.
Recently, Bates White was ranked the #3 firm for philanthropy in the 2016 Vault Consulting 50. “Giving back to the community is a core part of our firm culture,” said Charlie Mullin, Bates White Managing Partner. “Employees are supporting those less fortunate, while strengthening ties to each other. We are proud of the many ways we are giving back to the community.”
