Who’s Who Legal (WWL) has named Bates White Partners Andrew Evans and Charles Mullin to its 2024 Insurance & Reinsurance Expert Witnesses list. Mr. Evans was designated as a Recommended Expert in the insurance & reinsurance field and Dr. Mullin was selected as a Global Elite Thought Leader. This marks the seventh consecutive year that Dr. Mullin has been recognized as an Insurance & Reinsurance Expert Witnesses Global Elite Thought Leader and he is one of just six individuals in the United States to be honored with this listing.

Dr. Mullin is a widely acclaimed insurance coverage expert with commentators expressing to WWL that they "think very highly of him." Commentators representing other clients also acknowledge that he “is always a good and worthy opponent.”
Mr. Evans, who was also honored this year with Lexology’s 2024 Client Choice Award for Insurance and Reinsurance Expert Witnesses in the United States, is a CFA charter holder and a recognized expert on liability valuation, financial risk assessment, and insurance allocation. He recently testified at the In re HONX, Inc bankruptcy confirmation hearing in support of the debtor’s reorganization plan. The court approved the plan, which went effective on March 8, 2024, and HONX’s lead litigation counsel called Mr. Evans “the star witness in this proceeding.”
Dr. Mullin, who was named WWL’s Insurance Expert of the Year in 2018 and 2019, has authored more than 100 expert reports and provided expert testimony in more than 50 matters. He has published papers on applied and theoretical econometrics and labor economics in peer-reviewed journals, and is frequently invited to speak at industry conferences. He recently testified on behalf of the debtor in the In re Aldrich Pump LLC, et al. asbestos-related bankruptcy proceeding, comparing the benefits of statistical sampling versus reliance on an entire population of data.
