Michael Whinston awarded Jean-Jacques Laffont Prize

On October 10, Partner Michael Whinston received the Jean-Jacques Laffont Prize from the Toulouse School of Economics. Since 2005, this highly prestigious prize has been awarded to internationally acclaimed economists whose research, in the spirit of the work undertaken by Professor Jean-Jacques Laffont of the Toulouse School of Economics, combines both the theoretical and the empirical. The prize was created by the Institute D’Economie Industrielle in partnership with the city of Toulouse. During a visit to Toulouse to accept the award, Dr. Whinston delivered a lecture titled “Economic Theory, Empirics, and Antitrust.”
