Partner George Rozanski has been named by Lexology as the 2020 Client Choice winner for competition economists in the United States. It is the first year that the award has been given to economists. Dr. Rozanski is the only US winner, as only one person per country is recognized. The award, given since 2005 to attorneys, recognizes firms and partners around the world who stand apart for their excellent client care and the quality of their work.
A survey was sent to more than 200,000 corporate counsel and clients, who could then submit nominations for partners who deliver excellent client care. Winners can only be nominated by their clients. The criteria for recognition focus on an individual’s ability to add value to clients’ work, above and beyond others in the profession. Clients rate individuals on the following service criteria, among other things: quality of advice, commercial awareness, industry knowledge, strategic thinking, value for money, responsiveness, effective communication, project management, loyalty, and ethics.
One client said that Dr. Rozanski “is a go-to economist on the most complex mergers, including cross-border mergers.” Another praised Dr. Rozanski by saying, “He pays great attention to every detail, and he can be very creative when needed.” A third added: “He always responds in a very timely manner.”
The firm is pleased to share this honor with Rainer Nitsche of E.CA Economics, who won the competition economist award for Germany. Bates White has worked closely with Rainer and with E.CA Economics, a leading European economic consultancy on competition analysis, for many years.
Further information on the award is available on the Client Choice website.
