Summary

Zhiyi (Alicia) Xu is a Manager in the Mass Torts Practice at Bates White. Dr. Xu specializes in developing economic models to estimate and forecast potential liabilities. She has significant experience in complex data analysis and statistical modeling, with a focus on big data analysis, sample design, valuation, and forecasting. She has supported numerous experts involving product liability issues, in the context of bankruptcy procedures, settlement support, financial reporting, and strategic consulting. She is a member of the Data Science Committee and is the R Advisor within Bates White.

Prior to joining Bates White, Dr. Xu conducted research on structural demand estimation, high-dimensional data analysis, and health outcome analysis. She also contributed to the SAS/ETS User’s Guide and worked on international banking matters and pricing strategies for international trade transactions. Her experience includes teaching undergraduate-level economics.
